We employ the All-Laser IntraLase FS 60 technology to create the cornea flap unlike several centers that still use the microkeratome blade. With this technology healing time is almost instant. Most of our patients achieve 20/20 or better. It is also reported that night vision improves after the procedure.

Our internationally known surgeon, Dr. Carlos Manrique MD FACS continues to be a dedicated eye surgeon specializing in refractive surgery and was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1995. His training began with internships at Harbor Hospital Center in Baltimore and the University of Texas Medical Branch. He also trained in at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and in Neuro-Ophthalmology at Michigan State University. He served as Chief Resident at the University of Tennessee, as well as he was a Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University and is currently a Professor for The University of Texas. Dr. Manrique is also known for his multiple publications and training other doctors in various aspects of refractive surgeries and is a proctor for IntraLase and a speaker for Restor. He is an active member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Corneal and Refractive Surgery, and International Society of Refractive Surgery.

For patients that may not qualify for the Custom Blade-Free LASIK due to Cataracts, Severe Nearsightedness or farsightedness, we have several procedures available to help you reduce or totally eliminate your need for glasses and reading glasses. Our advanced technology includes Verisyse, Viscian IOL ReStor, Resume, and Crystal Lens 5.0. For patients with kerataconus we offer the intacs lens as a solution for treatment.
